DegreeI go to the Harrow Campus of the University of Westminster where other courses are concurrently taught including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Communications and Networks, and Multimedia. My course is BSc Computer Systems Technology with a year in industry, which makes it a 4 year course. I am currently in the second year.Every course has its own core modules while there are a few core general modules which are studied by all the students from each pathway. View the modules I study. University AdmissionThe admission process was a long story, and I was quite dissappointed about the lack of opportunites to third world students like me who wish to enter to a decent university. Anyway, after a tiring period of clearing, I managed to get a place at the University of Westminster.I did not manage to get any scholarship, and I pay 7000 per year of the course, but I do got some kind contribution from my country. Thanks to my homeland... CollegeOn completion of my O'levels, I did started GCE Advanced Level (A'level) straight away in Bangladesh. On midway through the course, I came to UK and hence completed the second year of my A'levels in UK in London.I did very well in my A'level exams and had 30 UCAS points when I started to apply to different universitites. Although I had good qualifications, I had to restrict my choices to only those who offered scholarships or lower tuition fees for overseas students. Pre-CollegeI have done my primary education in Bangladesh and Morocco. My secondary education was partly completed in Sweden and partly in Bangladesh. I gave my GCE Ordinay Level (O' level) examinations in Bangladesh. These examinations were very important as they are internationally recognised and I knew that they would open my future career if I wanted to study abroad in USA, Canada or in UK. |
