Office Admin - from 2001 to date
I work for a private financial advisor in London who conducts his business from home mainly as a financial consultant and a mortgage broker. He also does business in the property market and developing properties, which is a huge field. Currently we are working for a project to build a group of big houses for holiday accommodation with wheelchair accessibility in Spain.I am responsible in preparing typed letters, filing customer records, dealing with customers and filling out financial forms such as loan and mortgage applications.
This person was initially medically retired due to a road traffic accident where he damaged his spine. Being a tetraplegic, he therefore needs some assistance to maintain the official duties.
This experience in working in a financial field has given me great awareness of business terms and real-life situations.
Private Tutor - 2000 to 2001
On completion of my O'levels, I worked for an agency in Bangladesh which provided one-to-one tuition to secondary school children. I have taught about 6 children in two years on a weekly basis. The students did much better at school and developed more confidence during my presence, and also when I left.
