Volunteer Assisted Reading Programme
I was a volunteer for the 'Newham Education Business Partnership' Voluntary Reading Assistance Programme. This involved helping primary school children in the local area to improve their skills in reading.I worked in St. Stephens Primary School in East Ham where I helped the Year-5 children for a duration of 10 weeks. I developed a very friendly and close relation with the children, and they enjoyed to read more than ever before. The result of the programme was truly satisfying.
I wish to work for more voluntary work in the future, particularly those which help the society to be a better place to live.
